Issue Position

We must steward Oregon's unrivaled land, air and water without sacrificing jobs or putting our economy at risk.

Christine was a vocal opponent of the proposed "cap and trade" -- or better labeled "cap and tax" legislation because she recognized that it as the poster-child for misguided proposals that put our stable economy at risk. It would have harmed our poorest citizens, our families and our businesses with a regressive billion-dollar tax that they cannot afford. Moving forward Christine will work for a bipartisan solution that protects local jobs and prevents huge new costs in our family budgets.
